Abstract
The purpose of this study is to determine the potential impact of public policy on the construction of the Trans Sumatra Toll Road on the national economy and social. The scope of the research is its impact on the national economy and social. The research method used a qualitative research approach with secondary data collection methods. The results are described descriptively. The three indicators are combined based on public policy criteria and implementation performance models which are combined as a novelty to predict the potential impact of the success of public policies on economic and social development. The three indicators used are Effectiveness, Abidin, Efficiency, Abidin, Social, economic and political conditions, Donal S. Van Meter and Carl E. Van Horn. The result is two optimal indicators, namely effectiveness and social, economic and political conditions. One indicator which is efficiency is not optimal
